You blink and summer is already half over. You still have half a bucket list of summer must-dos to complete and you’re starting to think about preparing for the approaching fall. Hold on to summer a little longer, though. Enjoy those long, hot days and cool evenings all while wearing the perfect outfit. Here are three summer trends you will for sure want to copy before the season comes to an end.

Second hand Bermuda shorts

This look is perfect for the hot, hot days of summer because you easily can add or subtract lightweight layers depending on if you are in the sweltering heat or the chilly A/C. Look for cotton or linen. Focus on pieces that have a feminine twist on classic men’s wear, like pleats, cargo pockets and Bermuda shorts. These shorts from New York & Co. are a great example. Pair them with a ruffled blouse for a girly twist.

Secondhand White House Black Market dress

We also really like this NWT White House Black Market wrap dress. It feels a tad safari inspired, especially with the button details on the shoulders, but the waist belt gives it a feminine touch. Pair with wedges and a structured, camel-colored handbag.

Retro-inspired summer dresses

Second hand maxi dress

Let one of these retro-inspired summer dresses become your go-to this season. These silhouettes — think long and flowy — are super flattering on all body types. Wrap or faux-wrap dresses show off womanly curves, while ruffles, draped arms and drop-waists add visual appeal and style cred. We like the ruffle details found in this midi-dress from Jeans by Buffalo. It features an antique floral print that makes the dress feel old-school yet trendy.

Second hand NWT Banana Republic dress

We also like the antique print found on this NWT Banana Republic dress. Turn heads with the Victorian collar and gorgeous ruffles. This is one of those summer dresses that would be perfect for a more formal occasion.

Tie-dye NWT tank Second hand tie-dye dress

One of our favorite summer trends this season is tie-dye. Think California cool with this NWT tie-dye tank from Ruff Hewn. Pair it with some denim cut-offs, strappy sandals and a backpack handbag. If you need to step it up a bit, try tie-dye in a dress, like this one from Exist. It would look great with a messy braid and a cross-body purse.
